Can I drive with my beadlocks on the road?

Yes! Champion Beadlock wheels and conversions can be used on the road for up to 1/2 ton vehicles. Years of testing on the road have proven that with proper maintenance, Champion Beadlocks are safe for street use.

Are Champion Beadlocks DOT approved?

The DOT does not have a specific ruling for beadlock wheels--whether they are Champions or any other brand. Testing has determined for us that our beadlocks are safe for street use, and thus, we do sell beadlocks for light vehicles that will go on the road.

What is the load rating for beadlock wheels?

Champion Beadlock wheels are rated for up 1500 lbs for street use. Off-road load rating is unlimited, though we do not recommend using a beadlock on a heavy load/high speed application.

How long will my wheels be gone if I send them to you for a conversion?

Our lead time is normally 3-4 days. Call ahead for an exact estimate.

Do you do steel wheels?

We do not offer a steel beadlock wheel or conversion at this time. We specialize in Aluminum.

Do you offer a 16.5" beadlock or wheel?

16.5" wheels can not be beadlocked because of the 15 degree bead seat angle of the wheel. 16.5" tires are designed to be held onto the wheel with 80-100 psi air pressure for high load ratings. These wheels have no safety beads--even if you beadlocked the front side of the wheel, when you air down, the back side would debead.

Can you double beadlock (front side and back side) my off road wheel?

Putting a beadlock on the back side of your wheel creates many problems for brake and tie rod clearance. It is also difficult to mount a tire over a double beadlock. Since 90% of all bead failures occur on the front side of the wheel, our advice is to go with a beadlock on just the outside of your wheel. Feel free however to call us to discuss your specific application, and we will do our best to get your needs met.

Will I need special spacers to mount tires to my beadlock wheels?

NO! Some manufacturers require extra parts and pieces to mount tires to beadlock wheels. All Champion Beadlock wheels need nothing of that nature.

Will a beadlock throw my wheel off balance?

Absolutely not. Champion Beadlock wheels are CNC machined and automatic machine welded to your wheel. Each and every process we apply to your wheel will NOT affect the balance of your wheel in any way. We have beadlocked wheels that have gone over 330mph, and use the same manufacturing process for each wheel that leaves our facility.

What should I torque my beadlock bolts to?

Bolt torque and all other mounting information for can be found here.

Will installing beadlocks on my drag race wheels alter my SFI certification?

No. Wheels that arrive with SFI stickers will leave our shop with them in tact. For wheels that arrive without an SFI certification, the customer must still get their wheels certified.
